What is Sculptra ?
Sculptra is used to add volume to sagging skin that creates a hollow facial expression that makes you look tired and older. When injected into the skin, volume is added to the skin by boosting collagen production. Sculptra can be used in different areas of the face.
Benefits of Sculptra
Sculptra is a favorite filler among plastic surgeons, with Sculptra patients having experienced the following benefits:
- FDA approved
- No downtime or recovery
- Long lasting – up to two years
- Little to no risk of adverse reaction
Who is a good candidate for Sculptra?
If you have lost volume in your face due to fat loss and have sagging skin, you may be a candidate for Sculptra.
How to prepare for my Sculptra?
As with most dermal fillers, there is no preparation for your Sculptra treatment; however, we recommend you schedule a consultation with one of our experts so he/she may evaluate your skin and determine whether Sculptra or another filler is the best option.
What is involved in my Sculptra?
Sculptra is injected into the targeted areas of your face using a very fine-gauge needle where the volume is lost. It is done in a cross-hatch format to fill in deep folds and creases as well. If necessary, a numbing agent may be applied to the target area to help with any anxiety and to ensure your comfort during the treatment. The number of treatments you need depends on the depth of the skin imperfections. Most people receive three treatments spread out about six to eight weeks apart to allow the filler to add volume.
What to expect after Sculptra
Immediately following your Sculptra treatment, you can return to your normal activities or work. Any swelling or redness is minimal and resolves itself within a day or so.
When will I see the results from Sculptra?
The results take a month or two to become fully visible after the last treatment. Sculptra lasts about two years.
